A practical maintenance process
Identify what actually changed
Document the product, process, policy, screenshot, command, or workflow change and the parts of the course it can affect.
Update the approved source evidence
Make sure the revised claim or procedure is supported by current authoritative material.
Revise the affected course content
Use the Courseware Editor and the available Rev workflow when the change fits the delivered course structure.
Regenerate the affected deliverables
Create clearly labeled revised output instead of overwriting the original audited courseware.
Retest practical dependencies
Recheck labs, assessments, job aids, and other downstream artifacts that may depend on the changed content.
Redesign only when the scope changes
If objectives, audience, module architecture, or course duration have materially changed, treat the work as a broader course redesign rather than forcing it into a small revision.
